Just catching up.
Word usage is impressive with the Little Guy. He was given a project by his father to clean out and re-arrange a socket wrench set that had been used to install a basketball hoop. As he was working on it, he said, "One concern is..." (I don't remember what the concern was, but it was just funny that he would use that phralse.)

You might know Michael is a big sign-maker. Out on the corner of our house, by the front entry area which is half-covered with various toy construction equipment, we find, "Michael's Car and Truck Parts." There are other helpful signs on the door to the basement, his bedroom, etc.

He explained last night the properties of mucus in the protection against hydrochloric acid, giving us an unwanted mental image of being covered in the stuff while someone poured said acid over our heads. To demonstrate balance, however, I can report that he thought it was very cool that yesterday's Gospel was about the little boy who helped feed five thousand with two fish and five loaves. He also is mostly able to read aloud from the "Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church" at prayers before dinner. We have one of the kids pick out a snippet, usually just a paragraph to read, and sometimes comment upon.

We look at each other and shake our heads sometimes at the wonder of it all.
